Health and Safety Policy
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 imposes a statutory duty on employers to ensure in so far as is reasonably practical the health and safety of their employees whilst at work. This duty also extends to all others who may be affected by that work.
It is also the duty of every employee whilst at work to take reasonable care of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions and not to interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health and safety.
TONE Group will provide safe and healthy working conditions for its employees and other people working under its control in accordance with the international standard BS EN ISO 45001:2018, and will ensure due regard for all relevant statutory provisions and to the other appropriate standards that apply to the rail, underground, power and water industries. At no time will the company compromise safety in the pursuit of achieving other objectives.
TONE Group will as far as reasonably practical ensure the: –
◼ Provision and maintenance of a safe place of work and safe means of access and egress.
◼ Suitable and sufficient assessment of risks and keep records of the significant findings and establish and enforce control measures to eliminate or minimise the risk to an acceptable level.
◼ Provision and maintenance of safe plant and safe systems of work.
◼ Safe arrangements for storage, transport and use of articles and substances.
◼ Provision of adequate information, instruction, and supervision.
◼ Training provided will equip people with the necessary skills and behaviours to support safe and reliable operations and to continually improve Health and Safety standards.
◼ Provision of a safe working environment and adequate welfare facilities.
◼ Provision of a written statement of safety detailing the safety policy of the company and arrangements for implementing it.
◼ Monitoring of activities is undertaken to maintain the agreed standards of health and safety.
Tone Group never has and never will, sacrifice safety to lower costs.
The Managing Director undertakes to ensure suitable and sufficient resources in terms of time; finance and personnel are made available to carry this policy into full effect. This policy is reviewed annually.
